Moulis is the smallest and most compact appellation within the Haut-Médoc and runs along a strip of about 12 km x 400 metres. Moulis wines are suave, round, delicate and smooth in texture. They mature quite rapidly with ageing improvement potential of up to 10-12 years in a top vintage.

Listrac, of all the Médoc vineyards, is the most remote from the Gironde estuary. With more limestone in the soils, the wines have a slightly more rustic, old school fruitiness with firm tannins and can improve 12 to 15 years in an excellent and very concentrated vintage, e.g., 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2016.  Listrac wines have the best quality price ratios in the Haut-Médoc.
