Domaine Pierre Vessigaud
The Pouilly-Fuissé vieilles vignes (2.5hectares) comes from an assemblage of 35 different small parcels around the small village of Fuissé and the wine is aged in 1 to 4 year old oak barrels for about 12 months, giving a wine of real exotism with a firm texture.
The Mâcon-Charnay (1 hectare) comes from a soil with more clay and these Chardonnay vines, planted in 2001, now produce a lovely Mâcon with a very fine silky texture, a medium to full bodied profile and a classy buttery texture. Pierre Vessigaud also produces a tiny amount of red Beaujolais Cru : a very lively and fruity Saint-Amour.
